Our Pastor, Elders, and Deacons

Pastor

Rev. Johnathan Allen was born and raised in Northern California, but has lived all over these United States. He received a baccalaureate from The Moody Bible Institute of Chicago in 2019 and a Master of Divinity from Mid-America Reformed Seminary in 2024. Immediately after graduation, he started serving Beacon Light Community Church (Christian Reformed Church) in Gary, Indiana, as stated supply. The next year, he was ordained as an Evangelist in the Presbytery of Michigan and Ontario (OPC) and continued serving Beacon Light before taking the call to Covenant Church in March of 2026.

He greatly enjoys spending time with his wife and five children. Outside of his duties as a minister, he enjoys reading historical fiction, studying history (especially of the American South), watching movies with his family, and playing bass guitar.

Elders

Ruling elders, individually and jointly with the pastor in the session, are to lead the church in the service of Christ.

Deacons

Deacons are called to show forth the compassion of Christ in a manifold ministry of mercy toward the saints and strangers on behalf of the church.
